A police officer has been accused of attempting to kill an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) official in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Mr Kennedy Ouma was accused of trying to kill Amos Kalya, the IEBC officer after the two had a nasty argument.

According to the official, Mr Ouma started to shoot in the air threatening to kill him at Kapkut Polling station on August 8.
