NASA Leader Raila Odinga Launches New Campaign to Protect Political Rights

National Super Alliance (NASA) Leader Raila Odinga has launched a new campaign dubbed "national campaign for truth and electoral justice in Kenya".

Speaking during the inauguration of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Tuesday, Odinga stated that the campaign was aimed at defending political rights.

The Opposition Chief stated that he would not bow to internal and external pressure to move on from the August 8 poll, which he insists was rigged.

“We have reached a point that Kenyans must wake up. Stealing of elections must stop and this was the last time,” Odinga stated.

He added: "From Mombasa to the entire country, I call on Kenyans to reject a stolen poll. The way Kenyans voted should be respected by the court and those who were defeated."

Odinga claimed that "experts in electoral fraud" supervised the tallying of votes at Bomas of Kenya and alleged that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s votes for Mombasa county were inflated.

Poll results, he said, were manipulated to give rise to what he has branded as “computer-generated leaders”.

Last week, NASA filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging President Kenyatta's re-election.

Odinga alleged that the electronic results transmission system was hacked to generate fake results.
