NASA Leader Raila Odinga in Public Quarrel at the Supreme Court

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Monday caused a scene at the Supreme Court of Kenya grounds after some of his security personnel were denied entry.

Mr Odinga was seen engaging in a heated argument with the security guards deployed at the gate before he forcefully ushered in close to 10 men in suits.

Video footage from the incident shows that the former Prime Minister did not agree with instructions given by the security in-charge at the Judiciary building.

The Supreme Court grounds have been under strict security controls from Saturday when the pre-trial hearing of the NASA election petition kicked off.

A contingent of police officers was deployed to guard the area and control the movement of people around the court.

Major city roads were also cordoned off to ensure that the court proceedings are held without interference from the public.

Among the roads that have remained under lock down are City Hall Way, Wabera Street which branches from Kenyatta Avenue and Taifa road.
