ODM Leaders Led by Raila Odinga to Hold Prayers Before Supreme Court Verdict

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga is expected to attend a prayer vigil planned by the ODM women league ahead of Friday's Supreme Court ruling.

In a statement issued on Thursday, ODM Party Director of Communication Philip Etale stated that the prayer service would be held from 5 pm today.

The ODM women supporters are expected to meet with Mr Odinga at Orange House for the prayers.

The ruling of the presidential petition filed by NASA will be delivered on Friday. Chief Justice David Maraga, however, did not specify the time the judgment will be read.

The supreme court hearings on the presidential petition lodged by NASA leader Raila Odinga ended on Tuesday night.

During the submissions at the court, NASA lawyers said that the presidential election results declared were full of irregularities.

On their part, Uhuru's lawyers asked the court to dismiss the case terming it as allegations based on hearsay and with no concrete evidence to support it.

The seven judges are expected to either uphold President Kenyatta's win or nullify the presidential results.
