One pupil was feared dead and several others injured in a school bus accident in Mihang'o, Chokaa area.
The accident reportedly occurred when the school bus veered off the road before crashing into a wall on the evening of September 12, 2025.
The pupil, from a different school, was walking beside the road when she was struck by the bus.
At the time of publishing this story, what caused the bus to lose control had not been revealed even as officers from the Kayole Police Station continued to investigate the matter.
The school management refused to comment on the matter while the police had held the bus at the Kayole police station, K24 reported.
Videos obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed a part of the front of the school bus destroyed by the impact.
Although the exact number of students on the bus was yet to be revealed, a witness said that about 13 students who were in the bus at the time of the crash were injured.
Some of the injured students were taken to the hospital for treatment, while others who were in shock were given first aid at the scene.
This accident happened barely months after another accident occurred on August 8, involving a bus carrying students and teachers from Salvation Army Imusutsu High School along the Kisumu-Busia highway in Sirwa Posta, Vihiga County.
The accident occurred at around 7am and after the bus, which was carrying students and teachers, lost control and overturned at the side of the road.
In the accident, an unknown number of students were injured .
The report stated that the bus was transporting the students and teachers from Vihiga County to Meru for the Kenya National Music Festival.
