NASA Leader Raila Odinga Shames President Uhuru Kenyatta for Addressing Kenyans 'While Drunk'

National Super Alliance (NASA) Leader Raila Odinga has today hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta for addressing Kenyans 'while under the influence of alcohol'.

Speaking during a rally in Mathare, Mr Odinga noted that on Friday, President Kenyatta lacked respect for his electorate (Kenyans) when he came out to address the nation under the influence of alcohol.

He added that the President should have sobered up and ensured he is not under the influence of alcohol before calling the media and addressing Kenyans.

"Uhuru angewacha pombe ikwishe kwa akili (Uhuru should have sobered up first)" Raila stated.

"When you are President, you don't go to address your electorate under the influence of alcohol. It's highly disrespectful for President Kenyatta to address the Nation while drunk," he maintained.

The former Prime Minister also took a swipe at the President for attacking the judiciary adding that "the President and his deputy were not above the law".

"Kenya is not your property, you cannot force Kenyans to do what you want," Odinga noted.

The Opposition Leader re-affirmed his journey to lead his supporters to Cannan stating that the Journey was unstoppable and that in November they would reach the promised land.

Mr Odinga was accompanied by his co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.

This is the first rally the leaders have addresses after the Supreme Court ruling nullifying the re-election of President Kenyatta.
