Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has rallied Jubilee Party supporters to a meeting at Wangige Market in Kiambu County after Opposition leader Raila Odinga rejected the October 17th date for the repeat presidential election.
Kuria took to his Facebook account immediately after news broke that Odinga had said he would not participate in the election if IEBC will still be in charge.
Known for his tough tackling and hard stance on political issues, Kuria called out Jubilee supporters to a political rally so as to "teach the opposition a lesson."
"Ati wamekataa uchaguzi? Tukutane Wangige Market leo saa nane tuwaonyeshe watajua hawajui #WembeNiUleUle...(They have declined to participate in the election. Let us meet at Wangige Market at 2 pm to teach them a lesson), he wrote.

Meanwhile, Odinga has rejected the new Presidential election date set by the IEBC.
Addressing the press at Wilson Airport on Tuesday, Odinga announced that he would like the repeat presidential election to be held on either October 24 or October 31.
Mr Odinga maintained that the October 17 date given by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was not consultative.
Mr Odinga dismissed the election date noting that IEBC had not consulted the National Super Alliance (NASA) on the matter.
He argued that there were thorny issues that needed to be taken care of first before the elections are conducted.
