A second body was on Wednesday evening found in the debris of Club Casuarina, a property owned by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
The club was burnt down on Monday night and an employee identified only as Kilunda was confirmed dead on the same day.
This new development brings the number of deaths to two, days after the fire was put out.
The fire completely destroyed the restaurant located in Buruburu, Nairobi and nothing was salvaged from the premises.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
Governor Sonko confirmed the incident in a Facebook post and mourned the deceased worker.
"I serve a very faithful God. My God never lets me down. RIP Kilunda," Sonko stated.
Speculations abound that the attack was carried out by the former Senator's rivals who have been frustrated by his new measures to fight cartels at City Hall.
Earlier this week, Nairobi County collected Sh38.2 Million after a cash office raid by Governor Sonko and top politicians from Jubilee and ODM.
On his Facebook page, the governor said part of the operation was to instruct tax payers to be paying directly to the bank in case of system failure
Sonko and his team spent several hours at the cash office instructing tax payers to be paying directly to the bank in case of system failure.
According to the governor, over 2000 vehicles on Monday parked but owners failed to pay requisite fees leading to revenue loss.
“I am warning such motorists to comply with the county laws by paying for parking through the electronic eJijiPAY service. Failure to comply will lead to impounding of non-compliant vehicles,” he stated.
