Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto Reveals Why He Dumped NASA Leader Raila Odinga

Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has revealed that he dumped Raila Odinga's National Super Alliance (NASA) because he 'felt lonely.'

Ruto joined President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto during a rally in Kapkatet, Kericho where he pledged allegiance to Jubilee Party.

"I felt lonely. I found myself alone and I have now decided to come back.

"Today I have returned to where I belong," Ruto stressed amid cheers from the excited crowd.

The Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) leader kept a low profile after losing his governorship to incumbent Joyce Laboso and earlier this week said he was firmly in NASA.

Ruto joined NASA on April 19 but his stay was short-lived.

"Uhuru and Ruto talked to me into coming back. Tulianza pamoja na yeye (Uhuru) ndiyo maana tuko na yeye saa hii. Tumekuja na tunaunga Uhuru mkono (We began in Uhuru's camp and that is why we are with him now. We are here to back him)," he stated.

"I want us to work together. I have come back with all the people. I sat down and said there is no permanent enemy in politics," he remarked.

His sentiments were echoed by other leaders in the region who had previously dumped the Jubilee Party who stated that 'only a fool cannot change his mind.'
