Senator Reveals IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati is Secretly Meeting With NASA Principals at Night

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has claimed that the IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, is holding secret meetings with National Super Alliance (NASA) Principals.

Speaking on Friday during a rally at Kapkatet, Kericho, the Jubilee Senator accused the Opposition coalition of not being ready for the fresh presidential election stating that the Supreme court decision had made the Kalenjin block unite more to vote back President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Chebukati is secretly meeting with NASA principals at night,” Mr Murkomen disclosed.

He further accused NASA of influencing the Judiciary and IEBC in their favour.

“The same people who took Uhuru and Ruto to Hague were not done with their mission and are now in a plot to kidnap Judiciary and the IEBC," he added.

Mr Murkomen stated that they would push for reviewing of judicial powers when Parliament resumed.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi accused NASA Leader Raila Odinga of engaging in "childish behaviour" rather than selling their development agenda to Kenyans.

"I have come here today to show that the entire Kalenjin community supports Uhuru's "Kazi kwa Vijana" legacy. Let Raila allow him finish this work. Wacha utoto," Gideon stated.

President Kenyatta took the podium to send an urgent message to Mr Odinga after he (Odinga) called for the resignation of Kenyatta over allegations that he was not duly elected.

He took a swipe at Odinga for directing the IEBC on the election dates, noting that the former Prime Minister had no powers to direct the electoral commission.

"You don't have any power to decide on anything. You're a candidate my brother, you're not the President," Kenyatta stated.

Regarding the former Prime Minister's call for the postponement of the National exams, the Head of State asked the ODM Party leader to "stop joking with our kids".

The President urged KCPE and KCSE candidates to ignore comments by Mr Odinga, assuring them that they will sit for their exams as scheduled.

"Our children will do their exams on time as earlier planned the elections will not interfere with exams timetable," the President explained.

He further accused his opponent of planning to have a coalition government.
