NASA Chairman Reveals Strategy for Winning Votes in North Rift Region

National Super Alliance (NASA) Chairman for the North Rift Region, David Songok, has revealed the Coalition's winning strategy for the upcoming October 17 presidential poll.

Speaking on Monday, the NASA leader revealed that the party agents would camp at polling stations and escort all forms 34A to the National Tallying Centre.

Mr Songok has asserted that the coalition's agents will gather all the forms 34A and ferry them on bicycles if need be.

The Chairman further warned IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati not to dare announce results until all the forms have been received at the National tallying centre.

Mr Songok also warned that the classification of certain counties as Jubilee party strongholds was breeding tribalism.

"In my view, saying that a certain region is a Jubilee or NASA zone should be scrapped off because it has brought a lot of tribalism.

"Kalenjin people never had tribalism but now it has become so ingrained in us that even our children identify themselves with tribes. This is the situation for Kikuyus and every other tribe," the Chairman stated.

He illustrated that other tribes have managed to break away from the tribal cocoons except the tribe affiliated to Deputy President William Ruto.

"Recently, Kalenjins begun breaking away from tribal politics and Jubilee's Swarup Mishra was voted in. The Luos have been voting in Hindus for many years now because they vote based on policies but we (Kalenjins) vote for unworthy people so long as they are in the party where Ruto is.

"Our people have strongholds on their minds until they have gone mad because of following Ruto," Songok asserted.
