Kisii Jubilee Leaders Cause Drama at State House

There was drama at the Nakuru State Lodge on Wednesday during a meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee Leaders from Kisii and Nyamira.

A scuffle ensued when it was mealtime after Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto had finished their address.

The Star reports that word went round that there was little food remaining causing panic among the Kisii leaders.

It is at this point that a section of the leaders rushed for the remaining food without washing their hands while other disgruntled attendees asked the caterers to produce the rest of the food.

"When they were told the food was finished, the angry and hungry lot descended on some of the caterers who scampered for safety," a source who was at the venue told the newspaper.

The drama escalated further after some leaders accused former Kisii Senator Chris Obure of fleeing with their money.

"These are just lies. Those spreading such rumors are just crazy fellows who want the whole thing to be blown out of context. I have not taken anyone's money," Obure maintained.

The Abagusii leaders vowed to support Jubilee in the fresh Presidential elections slated for October 17.
