Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua Heckled While Campaigning For President Uhuru Kenyatta

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua was on Wednesday heckled by residents as he tried to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the County.

Accompanied by Deputy Governor Francis Maliti, the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader was shouted down by NASA supporters in Tala town centre.

The crowd shouted chants in support of the Opposition coalition while efforts by the frustrated governor to calm them down were futile.

Mutua has come out as a strong critic of the Opposition after he exposed how NASA leader Raila Odinga is tricking the Kamba community with false promises.

Speaking on Monday during a meeting between President Kenyatta and Ukambani leaders at State House, Mr Mutua revealed that Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka was getting a raw deal for the Kamba community.

"Kwa hayo makubaliano yao hawajasema ati kwa bahati mbaya Raila akishindwa atamuachia Kalonzo huo wakati mwingine ( in their agreement there isn't a clause that says if by bad luck Raila loses the election, he will give a chance for Kalonzo to run for the presidency)," he began.

He revealed that the loopholes in the agreement had left many questions as the Luhya community had also been promised the Presidency after Odinga wins.

"Waluhya wameambiwa wataachiwa, Mudavadi na Wetangula ndio wataachiwa (the Luhyas have been told they will be given the presidency through Mudavadi or Wetangula).

"Wakamba tunaambiwa ni Kalonzo ataachiwa, tunadanganywa! Ka hivyo watu wetu wajue tunachezewa karata (the Kambas are being told it is Kalonzo who will be made President which is a lie. We should know we are being taken for a ride)" he explained.
