NASA CEO Confesses Raila Was Wrong

National Super Alliance (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya has stated that presidential candidate Raila Odinga made a mistake when he declared that the elections would only be held on the coalition's terms.

Speaking on Sunday during a panel discussion on NTV, Mr Magaya sought to clarify what the opposition leader meant when he declared that "there would be no elections on October 17".

"I think that was a slip of the tongue on the part of the Former Prime Minister, I think what he meant to say was that the elections will be held after the minimum standards are met and not on NASA's terms," he explained.

Magaya further expressed that the ongoing stalemate between parties in the upcoming October elections could not be resolved from what politicians proclaim in political rallies.

"Are we going to resolve this stalemate based on what we say in public rallies or based on engagement between NASA, Jubilee party and IEBC?" he posed.

On Sunday during a rally in Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi, Mr Odinga specifically stated that the elections would only be met under NASA's terms.

"There must be conditions that must be met before the elections are met. We are ready, but we are ready on our own terms," he pledged.

The Opposition leader went ahead to mock President Uhuru Kenyatta by stating that he [Uhuru] went on a binge drinking following the Supreme Court judgement after which he started bulging his eyes.

Mr Odinga noted that the President must learn how to respect the judiciary as an independent institution.

"Baada ya Maraga kutoa uamuzi, Uhuru alienda akakunywa pombe mingi halafu anatukodelea macho. Anaanza kutusi mahakama ati hawa ni wakora. Uhuru mpaka aeshimu mahakama," he stated.

The Opposition leader attacked the Jubilee Party for claiming that they had the majority claiming that the President's party won most of the seats through 'rigging and not in a free and fair elections environment'.

"Mahakama ikianza kazi yake, viongozi bandia wataenda nyumbani ... hapa nairobi, Governor Evans Kidero alishinda. Hakuna vile Mike Sonko angeshida Kidero," he stated.
