Raila Odinga Reveals Next Step to Remove IEBC Officials

National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has declared that they will be naming, exposing and instituting legal proceedings against Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials they allege were compromised in the August polls.

At a press conference held at Okoa Kenya Headquarters, Mr Odinga on Monday stated: "Those individuals not only messed up and stole our elections, they also received bribes and we will be naming, exposing and prosecuting them."

The former Prime Minister added: "The lot that conducted the last elections must watch the next one from their prison cells, not from IEBC offices."

Mr Odinga alleged that NASA is in possession of enough evidence to confirm a link between French firm OT Morpho, IEBC and senior government officials.

He went on to state: "'We have enough evidence to show the link between Safran Morpho, some IEBC officials and government leaders. We have enough evidence to say the bribe that was paid; which account of which lawyer the money went through and who it was sent to. And later we will release this evidence."

He claimed that they have been collecting evidence of the alleged bribery, stating that money was funnelled to IEBC officials through the accounts of a Nairobi law firm.

He also welcomed the European Union Observer Mission report that called for a probe into the conduct of electoral officials and prosecution of those found culpable.

The NASA leader had yesterday launched a campaign for electoral reforms without which the coalition has stated there will be no election.

On the IEBC joint meeting with NASA and Jubilee on Wednesday, Mr Odinga stated that the electoral body had not yet responded to their letter on 'Irreducible Minimums' and highlighted that they would only have a basis for negotiation if the electoral body first responds.
