Caroline Mutoko Asks President Uhuru Kenyatta to Resign

Media personality Caroline Mutoko has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to step down for National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.

Through a video on her YouTube channel, Mutoko stated that the country was fed up with the constant wrangles between the two presidential candidates and needs to move on.

"Somebody said this a couple of months ago and I want to say it again, why don't you just resign and give this thing over to Raila Odinga.

"We've got to get moving," stated Mutoko.

She further advised Mr Kenyatta that Odinga is smart and is enjoying how he (Kenyatta) was getting worked up.

"He is enjoying being the monkey on your back...you got to get him off.

"If this does not matter to you, spare us the drama and pain. Let him have it!" remarked Mutoko.

The opposition leader has been saying that he will not participate in the elections unless the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) makes changes to its team.

Kenyatta, on the other hand, has constantly stated that Odinga is not ready for elections and is frustrating the process for selfish needs.

There is fear that the October 17 fresh elections may not take place and experts have warned that the country may be plunged into a constitutional crisis.

Trouble started when the Supreme Court nullified Kenyatta's win in September citing irregularities and illegalities in the electoral process.

The judges will give the full verdict on the decision to cancel Uhuru's victory today (Wednesday).
