4 Killed, Others Injured in Grisly Road Accident

Four people were killed and four others seriously injured on Tuesday after the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road and rolled in Samburu County.

The driver is reported to have lost control of the car which led to the vehicle rolling near South Horr town.

A survivor, Netty Lesasa, stated that the driver who died at the scene lost control after the brakes failed.

She added that at the time of the accident, they were travelling from Baragoi to South Horr.

The four other survivors sustained serious injuries and were taken to Samburu County Referral Hosptial before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital.

Among the survivors included 43-year-old John Lesasi who dislocated his hip and suffered compound bone fractures and Ali Mohammed (63) who suffered a dislocation of his left pelvic joint.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Samburu Hospital mortuary.
