Mutula Kilonzo Junior Makes New Revelation on His Father's Death

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr has maintained that his father's death was a massive cover-up that may have involved some of the workers at his Kwa Kwelu Ranch.

The Senator on Tuesday told the tribunal investigating the death of the late Mutula Kilonzo Snr that the late Senator did not die an ordinary death.

"The death of my father was not ordinary. It was a well-organised elimination probably in collaboration with workers followed by a massive cover-up," Kilonzo Jr stated.

An evidently disparaged Senator expressed little confidence that the tribunal would solve the alleged murder of the one-time Justice Minister.

"I am greatly pained standing here doing an inquiry which may not bear results.

"The death of the person of the late Mutula Kilonzo, the last Minister of Justice should not have been handled in such a casual manner," he lamented.

Senator Kilonzo cited various mishaps with the pathologists' examination that he believed affected the credibility of the report they submitted.

"In November 2013 I received a very disturbing email from Dr Ian Koller (pathologist hired by the family).

"He explained that he had gone out of his way to examine unsealed samples because of the gravity of the matter. Dr Koller said he would not sign the toxicological report until he received sealed samples," Senator Kilonzo testified.

Dr Simon Mwangi, who testified shortly after the Senator, speculated that the late Senator may have died as a result of a lethal combination of flu capsules and caffeine contained in a Pepsi soda which caused haemorrhage in his brain.
