IEBC Commissioner Roslyn Akombe has stated that she is ready to resign if she is found guilty of any election malpractice.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, Akombe stated that if anything comes up that touches on her integrity she will gladly step aside.
"If there is anything that comes and touches on my integrity and ability to perform, I will step down.
"If the relevant authorities find me guilty of anything that happened during the election process I will not hesitate to resign," stated Dr Akombe.
She, however, stated that she could not comment on the position of other IEBC officials who have been constantly accused of tampering with the poll process.
IEBC chief executive Ezra Chiloba on Tuesday remained adamant that he will not resign in the wake of opposition demos to force him out of office.
Mr Chiloba reiterated that he is focused on overseeing the preparation of the repeat presidential poll set for October 26.
He spoke as National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters demonstrated outside IEBC headquarters in Nairobi.
Through the window, he watched the protesters chanting anti-IEBC slogans as they demonstrated around Anniversary Towers.
The Raila-Odinga-led coalition has accused the CEO and his technical team of bungling the election in favour of President Kenyatta, a claim he has denied.
