Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati has spoken on the joint meeting that took place on Wednesday with the National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee Party.
Mr Chebukati stated: "We had a one-hour meeting where we adjourned for purposes of harmonizing the agenda for the meeting".
"One of the parties, NASA, raised an issue as to a Bill which is in parliament which may affect electoral laws," Chebukati added.
The IEBC Chair further disclosed that today's meeting had been adjourned to Thursday at 10 am where they will discuss the said Bill among other issues.
The Bill in question has been fronted by Jubilee and seeks to make changes to electoral laws in Kenya.
Jubilee lawmakers voted on Wednesday to form a special committee to scrutinize a motion to change the elections act.
Among the changes Jubilee is pushing for, is a return to a manual transmission system as opposed to the current electronic one.
The proposed changes also include a move to change the provision that gives only the Chief Justice or the Deputy Chief Justice power to swear-in a President-elect.
If the amendments go through, any Supreme Court judge will be able to swear in the President.
NASA, on the other hand, has demanded that Dubai-based printing firm Al Ghurair and French security firm OT-Morpho be blacklisted from the forthcoming election.
They have also demanded that Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba be removed from office immediately.
