The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has made a new announcement on how the presidential results will be displayed during the October election.
Thought their social media account, the electoral body revealed that presidential results would be shown in collaboration with the Media.
"The IEBC today agreed with Media Owners Association to broadcast on live television results as declared from all constituencies," the tweet read.
The Commission extended the time on media accreditation advising all media houses and correspondents are advised to re-apply for the National Tallying Centre accreditation
"Except for coverage of the National Tallying Centre, Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi, the accreditation cards for August 8th General Election remain valid for coverage of the repeat presidential polls," the electoral body stated.
The Commission further disclosed that they had briefed the Inter-religious Council on changes made to ensure that the 26 October Election is held in compliance with the law.
On Thursday, Talks between IEBC and Jubilee and NASA representatives collapsed after failing to agree on certain essential matters about the conduct of the fresh elections.
The Jubilee Party set the stage for heightened political tension in the country after tabling in Parliament a Bill proposing about seven drastic changes to laws governing elections in Kenya.
This move led to the collapse of consultative talks the IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, had called with Jubilee and NASA representatives to iron out some of the sticky issues in the upcoming October election. The National Super Alliance (NASA) walked out of the meeting saying the Bill would undermine the effectiveness of the deliberations.

Following the failed negotiations, Mr Chebukati noted that the presidential aspirants should attend future IEBC meetings in person.
"Next time we want the principals to come in person. We don't want generals to cause sideshows here ahead of the election...we must meet sooner rather than later," he stated.
The IEBC boss, however, maintained that the electoral body is open for engagement with the presidential hopefuls when they are ready.
"IEBC doors are open to engaging anyone," he said. "Hopefully, they will reconsider and come back to us. We will not get tired of engaging parties."
The talks on the repeat presidential election collapsed at the Bomas of Kenya after the NASA delegation led by Senator James Orengo walked out to protest the introduction of amendments to Election laws by Jubilee legislators.
