Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has warned Education CS Fred Matiang'i after the closure of the University of Nairobi (UoN).
Babu took to his Facebook page accusing the CS of being behind the move saying that is not the solution but 'postponing the problem.'
"Matiang’i has ordered university senate to close The University of Nairobi indefinitely. This is not the solution but postponing the problem.
He further added that the protests by students was a 'revolution' and the government should take note.
"Revolution in many countries in the world started from the universities. Comrades power is second after the Holy Spirit power," stated Mr Owino.
UoN was shut down indefinitely on Tuesday after a night of protests by students demanding the immediate resignation of Vice-Chancellor Peter Mbithi.
Students at Lower Kabete campus blocked Lower Kabete Road on Tuesday morning protesting assault by police.
The Senate ordered all students to vacate the compound by 9 am.
A statement from the police divulged that they were looking for 35 students expelled from the University who are accused of being responsible for the recent chaos.
