Mutahi Ngunyi Reveals 3 Conditions Uhuru Must Put Before the Election

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi  and his team at the Fort Hall School of Government on Sunday revealed three irreducible minimum President Uhuru Kenyatta should put in place before the repeat election scheduled for October 26th.

In their weekly show, The Fifth Estate, Mutahi noted that if Raila wants Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) reformed, Mr Kenyatta should also demand the reformation of the Supreme court following its decision that nullified presidential election.

He indicated that the apex court had proved itself illegal following the revelations that forged documents were used to make the critical decision that annulled the Presidency.

The Political analyst also noted that following Raila's demand that the IEBC servers opened, Mr Kenyatta should also put a condition that the servers at the court registry in the Supreme Court be opened adding that the public ought to know the criteria and means used in making the Maraga decision.

He also notes that, Uhuru should demand that the Supreme Court offendors who are responsible for the forgery of the crucial documents be charged with high treason stating that overthrowing the government using forged documents is a serious crime.

He also attacked the US and EU envoys who have been constantly trying to calm the stalemate between IEBC and the two political parties indicating that the diplomats could possibly be creating a political temperature that would cause an uprising similar to the Arab spring.

US envoy Robert Godec and British Deputy High Commissioner Susie Kitchens, have been categorical that failure to hold the repeat polls as planned could plunge the country into a constitutional crisis.

Further, the diplomats are pushing the two parties to drop some of their demands and compromise, arguing that most of the requests cannot be met due to time constraints.
