The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has awarded a Sh150 Million deal to the Postal Corporation of Kenya ahead of the October 26 repeat presidential poll.
Posta has secured the contract to transport election materials and equipment as the IEBC's official logistical contractor.
The State Corporation will now be charged with delivering ballot boxes, ballot papers and indelible ink to polling centres just as they did during the August 8 poll.

The value of the initial work has not been revealed as yet, neither are there details of payments for the services provided during the concluded General Election.
The National Super Alliance (NASA), over the weekend, made a u-turn on its decision concerning the procurement of ballot papers.
Announcing the change of heart, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka told reporters that the Opposition had withdrawn its call for a re-tendering process.
Mr Musyoka conveyed that the NASA team had accepted that Dubai-based Al Ghurair would print the ballots in accordance with a two-year contract signed with the IEBC.

The Wiper leader, however, stated that their consent was on condition that IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba be removed from the electoral body.
Musyoka asserted that the anti-IEBC protests will continue as scheduled until the CEO is removed from the executive council, threatening court action.
"If Chebukati sacks Chiloba today and President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy drop their mischievous Election Laws Amendment Bill currently executed on their behalf in Parliament, I will request Raila that we teach Jubilee a lesson in the repeat polls.

"If they pass the laws and Kenyatta assents to them, we will go to court immediately," Kalonzo warned.
