Raila Finally Reacts After Hassan Omar Joined Jubilee

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has finally spoken after former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar dumped his team for Jubilee Party.

Speaking to the media on Monday afternoon, Odinga stated that he was not worried after the defection of several leaders to President Uhuru Kenyatta's camp adding that "no one should lose sleep."

"No Kenyan should lose sleep because individuals have gone to State House and announced their defection. We shall never focus on a few leaders and election losers who are trying to make hay while the sun shines.

"The only exodus we know and recognize is the exodus from nepotism and tribalism. In a free and fair contest, Jubilee will lose again.

"We, however, want to assure the people of Kenya that change is on the way," stated Odinga.

The opposition leader also made reference to the Bible stating that not everyone among the Israelites made it to Canaan and some fell on the way while others even went back to Egypt.

Omar officially joined President Kenyatta's Jubilee Party, weeks after tendering his resignation from Wiper Democratic Party.

Speaking during a function presided over by Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in Mombasa, Omar formally announced he had abandoned the opposition coalition.

The former Senator said that there was no way Odinga could be President and at the same time have Hassan Joho as Mombasa governor, adding that the combination of the duo would be disastrous.

He questioned how the NASA leader would lead the country when he supported Joho, who had mismanaged Mombasa County.

"We cannot have Raila as President and Joho as governor. We must do everything to change the direction of the country, " Omar said.
