Video of Uhuru and Mombasa Kid That Will Leave You in Stitches

President Uhuru Kenyatta has for the past few days embarked on a vote-seeking tour of Mombasa County and apart from the usual hustle of politics, he has found something to smile about from an unusual source.

In a video that has surfaced online, President Kenyatta is seen holding a young boy who seems excited to be in the arms of the head of state.

The boy is heard saying that he supports Kenyatta and even asks him to take things easy as everything will be alright.

("Mimi niko na wewe. Usijali...Calm down") which is translated to mean, "I am with you. Do not worry."

The President tells the young boy that he has the potential to be the next head of state to which he replies that he respects the presidency and declares his love for Kenyatta before kissing him twice on the cheeks.

"Sisi twakuheshimu. Wewe ni kiongozi wetu". "We respect you. You are our leader," stated the boy amid bursts of laughter from the President who was in the company of deputy president William Ruto and Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala.

This came as a much-needed break from the monotony of clashing with opposition leaders who have threatened to boycott elections if their irreducible minimums are not met.

On Monday, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga took a swipe at Jubilee party, accusing it of setting up a Defectors’ Fund to finance the buying of leaders and losers to create an impression that there is an exit from NASA.

Over the weekend, former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar joined the Jubilee camp and stated that it would be unthinkable to have Odinga as President and Hassan Joho as Mombasa governor.

The former Prime Minister hit back saying Jubilee was stealing money from the public to finance the defectors' fund.

“People seeking individual gain have correctly identified that Jubilee is the place to go. We will not waste time trying to stop them.

"In fact, we are aware that Jubilee has set up a Defectors’ Fund to finance the buying of leaders and losers and create the impression that there is an exodus from NASA, “stated Raila.
