Former Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye has decided to withdraw his petition challenging Governor Joseph Ole Lenku's win after a 13-hour secret meeting in Birrika.
The meeting was brokered by Kajiado elders and political leaders; among them ex-Assistant Minister David Ole Sankori, Joseph Ole Simel, David Sorimpan, William Kayiaa, Elly Korinko and Samuel Moinket.
Following the meeting, Nkedianye is reported to have traveled to Nairobi to discuss with his legal counsel the steps to be taken to withdraw the petition.
Nkedianye had filed the petition challenging Lenku's win and claimed at a NASA rally last month that Lenku was a 'computer-generated' Governor.
National Super Alliance Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga backed Nkedianye's petition at the same forum and expressed confidence that Lenku's win would be nullified.

Speculation has been rife that Nkedianye will soon announce his official move to Jubilee Party.
A report published in The Star on Sunday quoted the former Governor's spokesman, Kasaine Ole Meikoki confirming the move to Jubilee.
"They told him to withdraw the pending election petition against Lenku and then he will be offered a Cabinet Secretary position after October 26.
"Jubilee will also reimburse him all the election expenses he incurred in the last general election," Meikoki was quoted.
At a press conference on Monday, Odinga alleged that Jubilee had set up a 'Defectors Fund' using looted money to woo NASA leaders.
