The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has written to NASA CEO Norman Magaya outlining two key points.
The electoral body wrote in response to the Opposition's inquiry on the status of the IEBC's consideration of their "irreducible minimums".
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati reiterated that the Commission is committed to delivering free, fair and credible elections.
"Upon assuming office, the Commission has remained committed to meaningful stakeholder engagement and it is toward this end, that we have hosted consultative meetings between the Commission and the NASA coalition," the letter read in part.

The IEBC boss went on to state that the electoral body had held such meetings with various other stakeholders seeking to address their various concerns.
Mr Chebukati went on to give a second response to the NASA leader's letter.
"Second, with specific regard to the Irreducible Minimums as posited by the NASA Coalition under 'NASA Position Paper on Irreducible Minimums before the Fresh Elections are Held' the Commission has reviewed the issues and prepared the Commission's response as forwarded.
"We confirm that we have taken the necessary steps to guarantee the integrity of the fresh presidential elections, and welcome your support," the letter noted.
Here is a copy of the IEBC letter.
The letter came a few hours before NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga officially withdrew his candidature in the October 26 repeat poll.
Mr Odinga defended his move by stating: "It is only through the withdrawal that the country will have a free and fair election as per the law."
