Kilifi’s Wachira Mathenge swapped positions with Marsabit Police Commander Ben Kogo.

This comes after National Police Service Spokesman George Kinoti announced that police commanders had mapped out election violence hotspots.

Kinoti on Thursday announced that Kisumu, Siaya, parts of Nairobi and Mombasa had been identified as hotspots ahead of the election.

The Spokesman stated that police have put in place fresh security arrangements aimed at protecting voters and election officials before and during October 26 presidential poll.

Kinoti stated that the officers would be on the lookout for attacks on voters and electoral officials as well as those preventing others to vote and blocking roads to polling stations.
