Police on Wednesday evening stormed a house in Kapsoya estate, Eldoret and arrested 24 High School students who were allegedly smoking weed, drinking and indulging in sex.
The students, aged between 16 and 18 were having a house party when neighbours tipped police officers after the music became unbearable.
Police arrived at the house immediately and were shocked to find used condoms and bottles of alcohol. Six of the students managed to escape before police arrested their colleagues.
Confirming the arrest, Eldoret East Police Adamson Furaha said that the students were on a mid-term break and would probe each of them before they can be released.
“We are going to question them one by one in front of their parents before we can release them. They will also be given bond. We are also going to interrogate the owners of the house before we prefer charges against them,” Mr furaha affirmed.
The parent of the student whose house the party was being hosted claimed that she was not aware of the events that went down. She has since recorded a statement with the police.
