Kenyans on Wednesday strung out various theories to explain why the Supreme Court Judges' bench failed to attain quorum to hear a case seeking postponement of the presidential election.
Under the topics CJ Maraga, SCOK and Supreme Court, netizens echoed one similar sentiment, "numbers matter".
Chief Justice David Maraga was mocked with the slur "numbers matter" as the social media users recounted his major reason for having nullified the August 8 election.
When issuing the Court's verdict in September, Maraga had noted that the process of conducting the election was also important rather than the final results.
CJ Maraga appeared alone during what was expected to be the hearing of a petition by three voters who wanted the October 26 election cancelled.
He explained that Justice Njoki Ndung'u had travelled and could not get a flight back to Nairobi, Justice Mohamed Ibrahim is overseas seeking treatment while DCJ Philomena Mwilu was recovering from the shock of her bodyguard's shooting.
Justices Smokin Wanjala and Jackton Ojwang' simply stated that they could not attend the hearing.
