The incident comes a day after a section of journalists were kicked out of a tallying center in Mandera County as they sought to take images of forms 34A.

The incident occurred at Mandera East Constituency tallying center where County elections coordinator David Maro Ade kicked out members of the press who were trying to capture shots of the forms.

Mr Ade found journalists talking to Mr Rashid Ali, the Mandera East returning officer, and, on inquiry, he was informed that they were seeking permission to take images of forms 34A arriving from various polling centers.

The elections coordinator insisted that the journalists would not be allowed to do so and chased them out of the room.

"There is no such a provision for journalists to take images of forms 34A and they should leave the room,” he instructed.

Meanwhile, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has canceled the presidential election that was scheduled to take place in NyanzaCounties on Saturday.

He stated that he would announce a new date for the poll later.
