Deputy President William Ruto has angered Kenyans after giving a series of interviews during the weekend accusing National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga of using a militia to disrupt the repeat presidential election.

During an interview with CNN on Saturday, the Deputy President noted that nine percent of Kenyans were denied their right to vote by organized militia who ensured that election officials and materials did not make it to the polling stations.

After the news broke about the death of  Eldoret Catholic Bishop Cornelius Korir, Kenyans mourned his passing on.

Korir died at the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital on Monday morning.

The 67-year-old Bishop passed on while receiving treatment after a short illness.

President Uhuru Kenyatta led the nation in condoling with the family, describing Korir as 'a great religious leader whose exemplary service calls for emulation by others.'

Prior to his death, Bishop Korir was quite vocal in matters related to politics, constantly preaching peace and reconciliation.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations are scheduled to commence on Tuesday.
