Thirdway Alliance Presidential Candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot has congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta after he was declared President-elect, and has urged for a national process of healing to take place beyond the election.
Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya following the declaration of President Uhuru's victory, Aukot also lauded the Judiciary for making decisions that have grown Kenya's democracy and promised that Thirdway Alliance would soon be 'a household name'.
He stated: "Kenya needs urgent healing beyond these elections..Our campaign was based on the six pillars of the alliance."
The pillars he was referring to made up his campaign platform of ending negative ethnicity, theft of public funds, protecting the Constitution and more.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, his lawyer Elias Mutuma divulged that they would not challenge the results of the election.

"We're not disputing the election, we congratulate President Uhuru," Mr Mutuma stated.
He further revealed that the party was re-organizing itself to become a major player ahead of the 2022 general election.
He stated: "We want to re-organize the party..we will be on the ballot in 2022."
President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner with 98% of the vote.
Voter turnout was pegged at 38.4%.

Dr Aukot came in third after National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga, who had earlier announced his withdrawal from the race.
