President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Leader Raila Odinga Finally Meet After Election [VIDEO]

President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) Leader Raila Odinga on Sunday met during a church service at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.

The two leaders attended the church's 100th-anniversary service presided by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

The event was also attended by Chief Justice David Maraga and other senior Government officials.

This is the first time Mr Odinga and President Kenyatta have met face to face after the October 26th Presidential election.

Addressing the Church service, President Kenyatta appreciated the Anglican Church for its contribution to development in health, education and for promoting peace.

Meanwhile, President Kenyatta on Saturday met Archbishop Welby at State House, Nairobi.

Welby was accompanied by the Most Rev. Jackson Ole Sapit, Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya.

At the meeting, Archbishop Welby congratulated President Kenyatta following his victory in the October 26 fresh presidential election and prayed for Kenya to remain peaceful and stable.

“I encourage Kenyans to reconcile, maintain peace and remain united,” Welby stated.

President Kenyatta on his part affirmed that his main vision was to see a united and prosperous Kenya, an all-inclusive nation where all Kenyans have equal opportunity to achieve their potential.
