Uhuru's CS Reveals How Joho Stole Sh100 Billion

Tourism Cabinet Secretary (CS) Najib Balala on Sunday revealed how Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi stole Sh 100 Billion that had been given to their counties by the National Treasury.

The CS accused the two governors of being wealthy from benefiting from the lump sum since the inception of devolution.

Accompanied by former Mombasa Senator Hasan Omar, the politician also condemned the NASA leaders of their calls for secession in the region.

They indicated that the calls for the self-rule were meant to distract public attention from the negligence and incompetence of the politicians.

"Secession is an intolerant and populist means of realizing parochial agendas that add no development value," Balala noted.

Balala also stated that the governors should be held liable for the poor development track in the region.

The Tourism Cabinet Secretary further pointed out that Joho and Kingi are acting on NASA leader Raila Odinga's order whose intentions for the country are not pure.

"Raila promised a civil disobedience to restore electoral justice," he stated adding that he plans to do this by causing chaos and force a coalition government."

Kwale governor Salim Mvurya who was also present stated that the push for secession has caused tension adding that the discussion is not healthy.

Mining Cabinet Secretary (CS) Dan Kazungu  noted that "Economy will be the next casualty," adding that peace in the region is at stake.
