Kenya Airways has announced that it will rebook flights for passengers in Nairobi after disruptions along Mombasa Road.
The National carrier acknowledged that it was caught up in a melee after traffic was disrupted by National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters on Friday.
"KQ has been impacted by the disruption on Mombasa Road, with some guests departing from JKIA missing their flights," a statement by KQ read.
Although operations in the airlines were running as scheduled, the national carrier further noted that guests who missed their flights will be out on others.

"Any guest who will miss their flight will be re-booked on the next one, at no fee," KQ statement affirmed.
"This applies to all guests traveling before 6 pm, from JKIA, for tickets purchased on or prior to Friday," they added.
Opposition supporters had barricaded several roads leading to JKIA after anti-riot police officers denied them access to the airport.
Police and supporters of the opposition chief were engaged in running battles along Mombasa Road which leads to the airport.
Security forces fired in the air and hurled tear gas canisters in an attempt to disperse hundreds of people gathered outside the facility.

Mr Odinga landed at the JKIA after a 10-day trip to the US and stepped out of a Kenya Airways plane at 11:28 am where he was welcomed by some leaders in the Opposition.
