Tension in Nairobi As Gunmen Kill 4

Tension is high Baba Dogo area in Nairobi after four people were found dead with gunshot wounds on Sunday morning.

Nairobi police boss Japhet Koome confirmed the incident adding that unknown assailants may have killed the victims.

Mr Koome stated that investigations had commenced and dismissed claims that the four had been killed by the police.

He also denied allegations the attack was from tribal clashes maintaining that it was a case of mysterious killings.

According to residents, three were shot in the head, while another was shot in the chest.

"This seems like ethnic profiling because all those shot are from one community and we are now scared that things may get worse because there are rumours there could be more bodies," one resident alleged.

They claimed the deaths were triggered by ethnic clashes in the area.

Reports indicate that four vehicles have been burned down.

Following the attacks, sections of Outering road were impassable as police battled the rowdy youth who blocked them from ferrying the bodies.
