Jubilee and NASA Leaders Watch Supreme Court Ruling Together

A section of Jubilee Party and National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders followed the Supreme Court ruling delivered on Monday together in a rare show of unity.

Senator Johnson Sakaja, in a conversation with Kenyans.co.ke, revealed that the leaders met under the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA) banner at the Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha where they followed the proceedings.

Leaders present included Nairobi Senator Sakaja, Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang', Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda and Senator Beatrice Kwamboka (Nominated).

Senator Sakaja shared some images of the meeting.

Kenyans commended the legislators for putting on a show of unity at a time when the country is deeply divided.

The Supreme Court delivered a unanimous ruling upholding President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

Chief Justice David Maraga read out the summary verdict and promised to issue a detailed judgement in the coming days.

Celebrations broke out in various areas where President Kenyatta enjoys support.

He is set to be sworn in on Tuesday, 28th November, at the Kasarani Stadium.

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has urged its supporters to stay calm, while promising to give the way forward within the next five days.
