7 Things Lawyer Donald Kipkorir Wants Uhuru to Include in His Inauguration Speech

Nairobi-based lawyer, Donald Kipkorir, has made a humble request to President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of his inauguration on Tuesday, November 28.

Mr Kipkorir has asked the Head of State to include seven key things in his speech which include;

1. Offer servant leadership - he asked President Kenyatta to serve the nation diligently with humility and lead by example.

"Jesus washed the feet of His disciples and told us that if we call Him Lord and Master, we must do likewise. Humility isn’t a weakness. Lead by example, let the Presidency be a calling to serve and not self-aggrandizement."

2. Give us Hope - Kipkorir asked the President to give the nation hope as many Kenyans live in abject poverty and have no shelter.

"When you see people breaking kiosks, it isn’t sport but maybe the only meal they will have in a long while."

3. Provide us with optimism - "Will you now take us to the Canaan we missed?" posed the lawyer.

4. Build bridges - the lawyer asked Kenyatta to offer a 'hand of friendship to Baba' as he (Raila Odinga) has done more for this country than many if not all.

5. Bring National Unity - "All tribes in Kenya have and must be equal. Like Martin Luther King Jnr, invite all Kenyans to the mountaintop."

6. Give us Freedom - "Don’t let the police shoot at all. The value of a Kiosk can’t equal the life of man."

7. Offer us Wisdom -"Don’t take sides. Don’t let your advisers spread hate. Don’t let your Digital Team spread, spew and propagate hate and fake news.

"You are the President of all.  Don’t look down on anyone or any tribe," concluded Kipkorir.
