President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday came to the rescue of a Nairobi taxi driver whose car was allegedly damaged by Opposition supporters.
The taxi driver identified only as Mr Nyakundi was all smiles after he received the good news on Thursday from Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
President Kenyatta had offered to clear his car loan while a good Samaritan who wished not to be identified had paid for the damages.
Mr Nyakundi was among motorists and business people caught in confrontations between police and National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters.

In the video which was shared widely on social media, the cab driver was in tears as he begged the President for help.
Mr Nyakundi was all smiles and thanked President Kenyatta for his generosity and PS Kibicho for facilitating the process.
Last week, several people were injured when the police clashed with NASA leaders and their supporters.
Business along Jogoo Road came to a standstill as NASA supporters marched to welcome their leader Raila Odinga from the US.
It was an unfortunate scene for motorists caught in the middle of the chaos after some had their windscreens stoned.
