National Super Alliance (NASA) Co-Principal Moses Wetangula on Saturday missed a critical plenary meeting organized ahead of the coalition's highly anticipated announcement.
The Bungoma Senator remained in his home county to attend a number of funerals for victims who have perished during demos that turned violent.
Speaking to journalists, Siaya Senator James Orengo who chaired the meeting disclosed that the deliberations of the day involved charting the roadmap for the People's Assembly.
"It is a preparative meeting to establish a roadmap to establishing the People's Assembly and also to make resolutions on very important matters to do with what has happened since August 8," he stated.

The Senator declined to give concrete resolutions that had been passed by the council urging the public to wait on the statement that would be passed later in the day.
Opposition chief Raila Odinga and ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi were present during the meeting that was held at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County.
Others in attendance included NASA strategists David Ndii, Barrack Muluka and Abubakar Zain.
Senator Orengo hinted at political events that will take place after a memorial service for the departed on Tuesday as President Uhuru Kenyatta is sworn in.
"There's is going to be an interdenominational memorial service for those who have been brutally killed by police but what is going to happen besides the memorial service, the political content of that event on Tuesday we are going to talk about it when we finish the meeting," Orengo stated.
He also noted that the Kitui High Court had overreached their mandate by barring the county assembly from passing the People's Assembly motion. Mr Orengo stated that the county assembly enjoys similar rights and privileges as the National Assembly.
