The National Super Alliance (NASA) has declared Raila Odinga as the coalition's recognised president with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his deputy.
NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi added that the Opposition coalition will see to it that the two assume office accordingly.
"We do not recognise the October 26 presidential election and to declare that as per Article 1 of the Constitution we have not individually or collectively delegated our sovereignty to Uhuru Kenyatta," Mudavadi stated.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader further emphasised that the coalition's stand, declaring that the two would lawfully take up the responsibilities of the presidency.

"We recognise Raila Amollo Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the legitimate President and Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya respectively. As sovereign people, we commit ourselves to see to it that they assume office," he declared.
The NASA leader went on to outline that the coalition, under the leadership of the two, will continue its efforts toward democracy.
"We embark on our journey of restoring democracy, just government and legitimate leadership.
"Inspired by the words of the Constitution of the State of New York, 'Whenever the ends of government are perverted and public liberty manifestly endangered and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may and are right to reform the old and establish a new government. The doctrine of non-resistance against arbitrary power and oppression is absurd, slavish and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind,'" Mudavadi stated.
Mudavadi went on to call on the Members of Parliament (MPs) elected under the Opposition umbrella should not engage in vetting processes by President Kenyatta's government.
NASA leaders made the declaration following a Saturday mini-People's Assembly convened at Maanzoni Hotel in Machakos.
