Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen on Saturday joined the resistance movement with his first call being to resist all forms of divisions, tribalism, and violence.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator posted the message on Social media after losing a football match during the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association, (KICOSCA) to the Siaya team.

"Our football team beat Nairobi County in the round of 16&W.Pokot in 1/4 finals. We lost to Siaya County by 1-0 in the semifinals. We accepted the results and wished them success.

"Sports teaches us to RESIST All forms of divisions, tribalism and violence. We had light moments with Siaya team," he tweeted on Saturday.

Mr Murkomen was the star of an earlier match against Nairobi County Assembly when he scored an equalizer goal during extra time.

"I enjoyed scoring that goal against Nairobi County Assembly with a perfectly weighted pass from Sen.Faki (Mombasa). See how sports brings all of us together, promoting teamwork and unity.

"I have received a call from Arsene Wenger that he is looking for a striker. I hate to turn down such great men but sorry I am not available," he tweeted.

The Majority leader has been a staunch critic of NASA's movement terming it unconstitutional and a waste of time.
