Kenyans were on Thursday engaged in various heated discussions on social media platforms centred around the various events of the day.

A particular photo of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu kept popping up among the trends of the day and Kenyans created a viral meme out of it.

Following the de-registration of the law degree certificate of Meru Senator Mithika Linturi, Kenyans revisited the Kiambu Governor's past woes with academic papers.

Governor Waititu earlier in the year won a case challenging the authenticity of his Economics degree from Punjab University.

The High Court ruled that it lacked jurisdiction to meddle in the matter of the degree from India and the petitioner, former Governor William Kabogo, was ordered to pay the Sh5.3 Million legal fees for the suit.

Governor Waititu has since added another feather on his heart after he graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) in October.
