NASA Issue Fresh Update on What Will Happen on December 12

The National Super Alliance (NASA) on Monday issued a new statement announcing its plan for December 12, 2017.

According to a document seen by Kenyans.co.ke, preparations for the Constitutive Session of the People's Assembly on the said date were very advanced and the NASA leadership was preparing a detailed program for the day.

"...arrangements for the Constitutive Session of the People’s Assembly to be held on December 12, 2017, where the Kenyan people will among other things install their leadership and unveil the roadmap to electoral justice and the Rule of Law, are very advanced and a detailed program shall be released by the NASA leadership in due course," read the statement in part.

"The People’s Assembly Organising Committee was unveiled on Friday, December 1, 2017, to spearhead all aspects of preparations for the constitutive session of the People’s Assembly.

"It has since held three meetings. The Committee is happy to report that all the preparations for this important session of the Assembly, which will be held on December 12, 2017, are on course," it read.

NASA also condemned the abduction of Chief Strategist David Ndii, terming it a cowardly attempt to intimidate members of the coalition.

"We condemn unreservedly the abduction, detention and subsequent arraignment in court on trumped up charges of Dr. David Ndii, a member of the People’s Assembly Organising Committee.

"The Committee sees Dr. Ndii’s incarceration as a cowardly attempt by an illegitimate government to intimidate its members in particular and the Kenyan people in general, with a view to scuttle the People’s Assembly.

"We shall not succumb and let these Gestapo tactics of the State make a return and become a new normal in Kenya.

"It is our collective resolve to ensure the Kenyan people reclaim their country and guide it back on the path of democracy and constitutionalism," read the last part of the statement.
