Uhuru Schooled Over Spelling Mistake on Twitter

President Uhuru Kenyatta was schooled by 'word master' Willice Ochieng' over wrong spelling on his Twitter account.

This is after he posted a tweet shortly after visiting ailing veteran politican Kenneth Matiba in hospital on Sunday stating that the former Opposition leader was 'convalescencing' at the hospital..

In reaction to this, Mr Ochieng, who is popularly known as 'Willis the word master', replied with a correction of the word 'convalescencing' which should be convalescing.

The correction did not escape the eye of lawyer Miguna Miguna who also replied blaming the mispelt on individuals he termed 'illiterate hackers' hired by the President to manage his account.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, convalesce means to recover one's health and strength over a period of time after an illness or medical treatment.

It further clarifies that the correct form of the word is 'convalescing' as stated by Mr Ochieng'.

Mr Ochieng is popular for a segment on KTN's Friday Briefing where he educates his audience on the right pronunciation of words.

On August, Matiba, a former Cabinet Minister, was awarded Sh504 Million as settlement for a case against the Government of Kenya.

The money was meant to compensate him for detention and inhumane treatment by security agents.

The ruling was delivered in August by Supreme Court judge Isaac Lenaola who handled the case while serving at the High Court.
