Uhuru Should Give Raila a Chance - Jackson Mandago

Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago on Wednesday urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to engage in dialogue with NASA leader Raila Odinga that will benefit the country.

The County head noted that Mr Kenyatta should give the former Prime Minister an opportunity to talk about meaningful issues.

He also lauded the postponement of Mr Odinga's swearing-in indicating that it is a sign that NASA had accepted Kenyatta's Presidency.

"Raila called off the swearing-in a good gesture and I want to ask Uhuru to give them a chance so that they can say one or two things they may have to benefit the country," Mr Mandago noted.

He pointed that the political season is over and there is no way Mr Kenyatta's Presidency could be challenged.

During his final term as the Head of State, the Uasin Gishu county boss urged Kenyatta to use his position to unite Kenyans and spearhead development agendas.

"He should let those of us who still have the ambition to do politics with NASA as we plan for the future," he stated.

Odinga cancelled the initial plan to have take oath as the People's President on Jamhuri Day.

This decision angered a section of Opposition leaders led by Dr Miguna Miguna who urged for the separation of the National Resistance Movement from NASA.
