Kapenguria Member of Parliament Samuel Moroto on Monday differed with a group of youth during a rally after they heckled him.
The MP was speaking during New Year celebrations at Chelanga Grounds in West Pokot County when things almost got out of hand.
He stopped his speech midway and threatened to rough up anyone who was heckling him.

The group of youth dared him to make good his threat and according to Citizen, the legislator began charging towards the crowd.
It is alleged that he was pulled back by West Pokot County commander, Mathew Kutto, who prevented things from becoming messy.
The Kapenguria MP insinuated that Jubilee leaders in West Pokot had sponsored the chaos to make him look bad in front of the invited guests.
Last week, a similar incident happened in Vihiga County after Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa was rescued by National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Musalia Mudavadi from an angry Crowd
During the meeting at Mbale Municipal Ground in Vihiga County, a hostile crowd pelted CS Wamalwa's car with stones, forcing his security detail to fire in the air.
Police tried to intervene and lobbed tear gas to disperse the crowd that had gathered for the Maragoli Cultural Festival.
A day later, Wamalwa accused Mudavadi of orchestrating an attack against him to embarrass him.

"He (Mudavadi) failed to control the crowd during that national event and let them heckle on. It seems everything was pre-arranged to embarrass Jubilee leaders.
"When I asked him whether it was a cultural event or a political event, he failed to convince me. I saw a majority of non-NASA leaders had kept away from the event and that was the first failure for Mudavadi," the CS stated.
