NASA MPs' 1st Task to Recognize Raila as  President

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala on Sunday announced that National Super Alliance (NASA) Members of Parliament (MPs) and other leaders elected under the coalition would have to sign an affidavit to recognize Raila Odinga as the President.

According to Mr Malala, this would be the first task undertaken by the NASA elected leaders to prove their allegiance to the NASA leader ahead of the "swearing-in" which is slated for January 30th.

"I will call a forum in Parliament to ask all MPs to sign a memo to prove the allegiance to the coalition and their support for swearing-in plan.

"Any MP who won't sign the affidavit will be seen as a traitor and a Jubilee mole," Malala stated.

He further expressed concern over the growing rift within the coalition revealing that many politicians are shifting their support towards the Jubilee party.

"There are those unloyal members who are in NASA during the day and dine with Jubilee at night.

"We do not want traitors, we rather remain few who are dedicated to the cause," he stated in an interview with KTN News.

He reiterated the statement at Kakamega rally which was graced by the NASA leader and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka.

Mr Odinga on his part announced that the swearing-in would proceed as planned further refuting claims that he is scared of taking oath as the People's President.

"On January 30, I will be sworn in and this time it's a real deal and anyone one saying its treason let him come and arrest us."

"The event is not only about carrying the Bible and saying 'I swear', we want to make it real," he explained.
